Marks Law is a boutique family law firm in London, specialising in all areas of family law.
Lucy Marks has more than 20 years experience working in leading family law firms in Central London with a particular specialism in financial applications on divorce, including high value cases, and private law children cases, including relocation applications. She has been involved in numerous reported cases.
Lucy is sensitive and empathetic to the difficulties clients face going through this process. She handles clients efficiently but with understanding. She is often approached by clients who need a guiding hand in a time of need and her manner is professional but patient.

Lucy has over 20 years experience in family law. She advises in all areas of family law, including in particular:
Before founding Marks Law, Lucy was Head of Family Law at a niche private client practice and previously Partner at one of the leading City law firms specialising in high net worth family law. She qualified and practiced with Mishcon de Reya, subsequently developing her practice exclusively in the full field of family law matters.
Lucy studied modern languages at Cambridge University and speaks French and Spanish. She has regularly been involved in cases where there is an international angle.
Lucy is an Associate of AIJUDEFA , the Association of Spanish speaking family lawyers based in Chile.
Lucy is an accredited specialist member of Resolution, a community of family justice professionals who work with families and individuals to resolve issues in a constructive, non-confrontational way. The Resolution accreditation mark indicates excellence in practice and demonstrates an outstanding level of skill and expertise.
Varuna
Mitra
Varuna Mitra graduated with a 2:1 from St John’s College, Oxford in Jurisprudence with Law Studies in Europe. Whilst at Oxford, Varuna was elected to the Standing Committee of the Oxford Union and led debating classes in schools abroad.
Varuna has gained experience at various leading legal and financial institutions including a commercial.Varuna spent a year studying Spanish law in Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona where she developed an appreciation for the interplay between the legal systems in different jurisdictions.
Varuna is fluent in Spanish and has a working knowledge of French.Varuna joined Marks Law as a paralegal in July 2024.
